The UK is leaving the EU on 31 January with a ratified Withdrawal Agreement. The Agreement includes a transition period until the end of December which is designed to provide continuity to businesses and citizens while the UK and EU negotiate a longer relationship. During the transition period, EU law will continue to have the same effect in the UK as in Member States. This includes the cabotage regulation 3577/1992. So, UK businesses will continue to have the same rights that they have now under the Regulation until the end of the year.
