Introduction

The video below will help inform you on the process of finding and claiming your already registered vessel on the Digital UK Ship Register.

Claim a vessel

Before you start you will need:

  • Proof of identity – either your passport, driver’s license or a utility bill (utility bill must be dated within the last three months and clearly state your name and address)
  • Certificate of Registration
  • And either: a Declaration of eligibility OR Bill of sale

This service is free of charge.

Once your application for claiming a vessel has been approved you can apply to renew the vessel registration online.

Small Ships Register (Part III)

Did you register your pleasure vessel with the Small Ships Register before April 2020? If so, you’ll need to create an online account to claim your vessel before you can make any changes.

In this short and simple video, we provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to create an online account, what documentation you will need to claim your vessel and how to complete the process.

All registered owners will need to create an account and claim the vessel before any changes can be made.
